About the Role
A full-time Rehab Tech at our sub-acute/skilled nursing facility in Lewiston, ME will assist the Rehabilitation Staff with patient-related activities in accordance with state licensure and Practice Acts mandates. This role involves technical and light administrative duties for the Rehabilitation Department.
Responsibilities
- Assists with specific treatment activities assigned by the treating therapist.
- Transports patients to and from the rehabilitation department for scheduled treatment and assists with transfers.
- Prepares patients for therapy as directed by the supervising therapist.
- Helps in the modification of patient equipment (wheelchairs, splints) as necessary.
- Reports patient response to treatment and changes in medical status to the supervising therapist immediately.
- Assists with computer data entry and generates reports as requested.
- Completes timely and accurate documentation of direct, indirect time, payroll, efficiency, and clinical reporting.
- Adheres to confidentiality standards of HIPAA and all Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards for healthcare professionals.
- Uses a professional and clear style of verbal and written communication.
- Performs clerical duties such as answering calls, photocopying, filing, faxing/scanning/uploading documents, and supply orders.
- Maintains the rehabilitation area and equipment in a neat, clean, and safe manner.
- Attends in-services and facility meetings as required.
- Works cooperatively in group situations, demonstrates flexibility, team building, and promotes a positive work environment.
- Implements a customer service philosophy to promote value and customer loyalty.
- Reports to work on time and adheres to schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree.
- Concise oral and written communication skills with rehab staff, facility staff, patients, and families.
- Regular attendance.

Pay
Rate range: $18/hr - $20/hr
