Rehab Tech / Clerical Assistant - Rehab Administration - Full Time
About the Role
Join our Guthrie rehabilitation administrative team and make an impact through hands-on support, administrative coordination, and patient-focused service that helps individuals thrive. This role involves partial responsibility for coordination of medical records and third-party approvals, cash payments, and claims forms. You will schedule new patient visits and subsequent return visits, file medical records, coordinate mail correspondence, type letters and memos, answer phones, and greet patients. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of equipment and treatment areas, maintain inventory of stock supplies, ensure safety and care of patients and equipment, and uphold professional conduct.
Responsibilities
- Obtain authorization from insurance for rehabilitation services and schedule initial and follow-up appointments for the department.
- Assist patients in preparation for treatment, during treatment, and at the conclusion of treatment under therapist directive/supervision.
- Assemble and disassemble equipment and accessories utilized for patient/resident treatment.
- Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain all treatment equipment, including ultrasound, electric stimulation, weights, and exercise/therapeutic equipment.
- Maintain adequate linen supplies to ensure patient/resident comfort during treatment.
- Manage care and inventory of necessary equipment, ambulatory aides, pharmaceutical agents, and sterile supplies.
- Perform duties necessary for the efficient operation of the department, such as changing linen and cleaning.
- Respond to requests from professional staff.
- Assist with data collection and monitoring of the department’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process and program.
- Participate in community and employee engagement activities.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology required; training as a medical secretary or appropriate experience preferred.
- Ability to type accurately at 50-60 wpm using recorded dictation or handwritten drafts.
- Proficiency with computer office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EPIC.
- High moral character; trustworthy with confidential information.
- Previous experience with direct patient care is beneficial.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $17.57-$25.32 per hour, based on experience.
