About the Role

This position is responsible for onsite registration, arrival processes, discharge, and insurance validation, with occasional guidance. The role involves resolving issues related to registration, billing, insurance, and payment of accounts while ensuring accurate and thorough data entry into admissions, discharge, transfer, and billing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all assigned area functions per departmental guidelines.
  • Conducts administrative functions to ensure departmental operations align with policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensures accurate and thorough entry of cases into admissions, discharge, transfer, and billing systems.
  • Provides customer service and status updates in waiting rooms, patient rooms, and prior to departure.
  • Requests payment and provides payment plan information for patient account balances when necessary.
  • Supports colleagues and entry-level co-workers with guidance and mentorship.
  • Demonstrates accountability for completing assigned activities and seeks to enhance processes for high-quality outcomes.
  • Adapts to change, embraces new ideas, and incorporates technology to improve day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience.
