About the role
Identify primary and secondary payers, determine in-network status, and inform patients of cost differences. Ensure third-party payer requirements—such as immediate admission notification, precertification, referral, and authorization—are met. Collect full payments including co-payments and deposits, prepare patient charts, and communicate patient rights and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Familiarity with medical terminology and ICD coding
- Knowledge of third-party payer regulations preferred
