About the Role
The Registration Representative is responsible for accurately registering patients for procedures, admissions, outpatient, and ER visits, ensuring correct demographic and insurance information for proper identification and billing.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Adhere to patient identification protocols to prevent errors and HIPAA violations
- Complete and scan registration forms accurately
- Provide excellent customer service using AIDET principles
- Collect and post payments accurately and deposit payments promptly
- Maintain a registration accuracy rate of 95% or higher
- Monitor work queues and answer calls professionally
- Follow emergency protocols when necessary
