Registration Representative I

About the role

The Patient Registration Representative assists patients through the registration process, introduces them to the facility, and acts as a liaison between patients, their families, hospital management, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with registration and introductions to the facility
• Work with other departments to ensure patient satisfaction and quality of services
• Handle weekend, holiday, and other shift work as scheduled

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a health care and/or customer service related industry
• Flexibility for weekend, holiday, and other shift work as scheduled

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in patient interviewing
• Ability to collect post and balance cash
• Strong typing and clerical skills including speed and accuracy
• General knowledge of medical insurance and terminology

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate

Skills

• Flexibility for weekend, holiday, and other shift work
