Responsibilities
- Accurately processes Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Department Registrations in accordance with regulatory and financial requirements.
- Inputs patient registration data into the computer system, while verifying patient demographics and insurance.
- Appropriately interviews patients, obtaining the necessary information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology necessary.
- Strong knowledge of the insurance verification and registration process required.
- Maintains ability to quickly assess and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Verifies outpatient scripts appropriately.
- Maintains detailed and quality-oriented standards with strong problem-solving and judgment skills to interpret data and take appropriate action in varying circumstances and situations.
- Complies with all job functions within the required time frames.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of registration experience
