Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Eagle Animal Hospital at Staley operates four locations in Kansas City, Riverside, and Liberty, offering comprehensive, progressive, and individualized care for small animals. We provide preventative and prophylactic services, as well as advanced diagnostics and treatments using state-of-the-art equipment.

About the role

Veterinary Technicians play an integral role in our hospital, handling patient care, assisting clients, supporting doctors in surgery, and providing quality nursing care to hospitalized patients. You will fully utilize your skillset and continue to develop your knowledge in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute treatment orders as directed by a DVM, including:
• Placing IV catheters
• Phlebotomy
• Injections
• Anesthesia induction and monitoring
• Perioperative surgical nursing
• Dental prophylaxis
• In-house laboratory procedures

Requirements

• Previous veterinary experience (1+ years preferred)
• Credentials as a Veterinary Technician highly preferred
• Positive attitude and team-player personality
• Excellent communication skills

Pay

$22.00 - $27.00 per hour; sign-on bonus available for the right candidate.

Schedule

• Part-time, 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
• Rotating Saturdays (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
• Closed Sundays and major holidays
