Registered Veterinary Technician

Salary: $30 - $35 per hour, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time position. Hospital hours: Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Days and shift hours vary within these operating hours.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding care instructions and patient status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is required.
• Surgical experience is required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
