Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NICU (Nights)

About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs cardiopulmonary duties in accordance with hospital policy and procedure under general supervision. Responsibilities include administering respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures. This role requires a high level of customer service and active participation in continuous quality improvement processes. The therapist will also serve as a resource to other employees.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework
• One year of related experience
• Working knowledge of standard practices and procedures
• At least 1 year of Level III NICU experience (either with Tanner or at another Level III NICU facility)

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Respiratory Care Professional certification
• Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification
• ACLS Certification (must obtain within 10 months of employment)
• NRP Certification (must obtain within 10 months of employment)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (must obtain within 10 months of employment)
• Must attend S.T.A.B.L.E. baby course within 18 months of employment
