Registered Respiratory Therapist - PRN

About the role

Respiratory Therapist (RT-CRT) responsible for providing respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and EKGs
• Deliver intermittent therapy
• Assist with artificial airway management
• Document clinical information
• Educate patients and staff
• Perform diagnostic procedures
• Adapt care to patient age and needs
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist
• Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS certification; ACLS within 90 days
• Proficiency in computer skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting
• Ability to work in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to infectious materials
• Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse patient populations
• Attention to safety and compliance
