About the role
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Pediatrics & Neonatal Care
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced respiratory care for neonatal and pediatric patients
- Develop individualized care plans
- Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Monitor patient progress
- Educate patients and families
- Support critical care services
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Serve as a preceptor and mentor
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Communicate patient updates effectively
- Maintain patient safety
- Follow infection prevention protocols
- Adhere to documentation requirements
- Support quality improvement initiatives
- Operate respiratory care equipment
- Evaluate new technologies
- Ensure supplies are functional and available
Qualifications
- Graduate of a CoARC‑approved program
- Current RCP license
- RRT credential through NBRC
- Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
- Strong clinical and communication skills
Skills
- Pediatric/neonatal care experience (preferred)
- Critical care background (preferred)
- ACLS certification (preferred)
- PALS certification (preferred)
