About the role
Provide direct patient respiratory care in accordance with physician orders, serving as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory therapies
- Consult on therapy effectiveness
- Perform assigned duties using respiratory care devices
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- PALS certification required for ER staff
- Preferred ACLS certification
- Critical care experience (preferred)
- Compassionate, professional, collaborative, with a positive outlook and advocacy mindset, dedicated to delivering excellent patient care
Skills
- Ability to handle physical demands including pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs., and minimal kneeling or crouching
- Proficiency with respiratory care equipment
