Registered Respiratory Therapist, Ful-Time (36 hours)

About the role

Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned.

Location: Mercy Hospital, St. Louis – 615 S New Ballas Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63141

Sign-on bonus up to $10,000.

Schedule

Shift: 7 pm – 7 am

Eligible for shift differential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license meeting state licensure requirements.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• For co-workers in the Emergency Room: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.

Requirements

• Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Proficiency with all appropriate respiratory care devices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Critical care experience.
