Schedule

PRN Shift Night-Weekend. PRN employees must be available to pick up 48 hours in a 6-week schedule period with at least 50% nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care, educate clients, and provide protocol-driven interventions within the scope of practice to influence clinical and whole health outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver and coordinate healthcare services across the continuum.
• Perform virtual assessment of healthcare needs, develop care plans, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service, anticipate and meet consumer needs, and treat all consumers and colleagues with dignity and respect.
• Maintain a working knowledge of service offerings, workflows, and necessary technologies.
• Provide courteous responses and excellent customer service when fielding inquiries from consumers, clinic staff, physicians, colleagues, and leaders.
• Actively work with staff and supervisors to achieve established performance metric standards.
• Maintain knowledge of services and AdventHealth offerings to properly direct inquiries outside of service’s scope.
• Demonstrate excellent customer-care skills and provide virtual clinical care within the nursing scope of practice.
• Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to triage symptomatic consumers in accordance with scope of practice.
• Elicit questions, concerns, and information from callers to assess symptoms, determine acuity, identify appropriate algorithm/protocol, and develop patient care plans and follow-up.
• Provide professional advice, education, and options based on assessment, established algorithm/protocol, and clinical judgment; escalate interactions to emergency response services when appropriate.
• Provide referrals to healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate; assist with follow-up or appointment scheduling when needed.
• Utilize proper escalations when issues arise.
• Adhere to all established workflows, scripting, and department greetings.
• Document all interactions and consistently update consumer records in relevant technology system(s).
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to type at a speed of 45 words per minute, at minimum.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs and Adobe.
• Technological aptitude to master additional programs and technologies, including CRM, telephony, electronic health records, and other potential systems.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor's of Nursing (Preferred)
• 2+ years of clinical nursing experience (Required)
• 1+ year of virtual care monitoring or care experience (Preferred)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)

Pay

$31.53 - $52.24 per hour
