About the role
As the Unit Manager, you will oversee all supervisory duties for your assigned unit, mentor less experienced nurses, and ensure the highest standards of resident care.
Responsibilities
- Establish and implement employee policies and procedures
- Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical and career advice
- Maintain the standards of care for the unit
- Review resident records and quality of care
- Monitor overall care and review individual residents’ cases
- Address questions or complaints from residents or their families
- Represent the unit’s interests with upper-level management
Requirements
- Valid New York State RN License
- 3 years of Long Term Care experience preferred
- 2 years of Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
