Registered Nurse - Transition to Practice - Emergency Department - Night

Role Overview: Provides safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in an emergency setting, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to assess, prioritize, and develop individualized care plans. Collaborates effectively with interdisciplinary teams and delegates tasks appropriately to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, and monitor progress accurately.Implement, evaluate, and document patient care plans.Respond swiftly to evolving patient needs in a fast-paced environment.Coordinate with physicians and team members to deliver comprehensive care.Maintain accountability while delegating tasks and fostering a positive team environment. Qualifications & Skills Current Illinois nursing license.Associate degree in Nursing or higher; Bachelor’s degree required within five years if starting with an associate degree.CPR/BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications to be obtained within three months.Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience; ED-specific experience is encouraged.
