Role Overview: A Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides professional nursing care in accordance with state laws and hospital policies. The role involves assessing patient conditions, recognizing changes, planning and evaluating care, monitoring progress, and documenting observations. The nurse delegates appropriate tasks and collaborates as part of a team to achieve unit goals.
