About the Role
This role is based in a 14-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), providing care for post-operative and critically ill surgical patients. The team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment supported by continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, and communicate patient conditions effectively.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care as the primary caregiver.
- Follow physician and nursing orders accurately.
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse with current licensure from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification within 180 days of hire.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
