Registered Nurse - Surgical Intensive Care Unit

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), specializing in caring for post-operative and critically ill surgical patients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care following established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
• Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions
• Serving as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Carrying out physician and nursing orders
• Assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with healthcare team members

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school

Requirements

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
