About the Role
Provides specialized nursing care in a 14-bed Surgical ICU (SICU) for post-operative and critically ill surgical patients. Supports continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care following organizational protocols
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Coordinate multidisciplinary team efforts
- Communicate patient status effectively
- Assist with patient discharge planning
- Manage physician and nursing orders
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Life Support certification within 180 days of hire
- Adherence to established policies and procedures
