Centers for Dialysis Care is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Team!
Quality Management Responsibilities
- Trains facility staff on CDC quality program, standards, expectations and methods to improve results
- Routinely reviews facility quality outcomes and works with facility management and staff to achieve CDC quality outcome goals
- Provides leadership in implementing quality improvement initiatives at the facility
- Supports the FM in assuring facility compliance with Medicare conditions of coverage
- Aids in preparation and facility readiness for ODH survey process
- Responds to facility medical record audits and works with FM to create plans to deal with any problems identified
- Reviews and provides input for revision of patient care policies as directed
- Assists in the leadership of facility quality teams and participates in a corporate quality team
Operational Management Responsibilities
- Assists with the facility implementation of patient care policies that are new or revised
- Collaborates on solutions to address budget variance as needed
- Provides support and suggestions to help regulate expenses for the facility
- Performs product and policy evaluation trails on site as directed
- In the absence of the FM updates biweekly staffing reports and capacity planning
- Maintains oversight of direct patient care staff to ensure adherence with CDC policy and procedure
- In the absence of the FM conducts monthly quality and operations meetings to maintain communication with facility leadership
- Conducts monthly staff meetings as necessary to communicate, educate, and review facility performance in the areas of quality, operations, and safety
- Affirms adequate staffing for all disciplines that report to the FM
- Is on-call for emergency issues at the facility as needed
- Conducts interdisciplinary meetings to maintain communication between departments as needed
- Collaborates in the creation and maintenance of systems that facilitate smooth operation of the facility
- Aids in the planning and implementation of facility expansion or downsizing as necessary
- Affirms patient care and human resources manuals and postings are kept up to date in the facility as needed
Patient Care Responsibilities
- Functions in staffing according to schedule and patient load demands as needed
- Evaluates nursing care plans and CDC nursing documentation requirements for completion and accuracy
- Maintains the patient schedule per CDC guidelines
- Schedules and assures completion of new patient orientation per policy
- Manages intake of new patients and admission process
- Schedules and assures completion of new patient orientation per policy
- Maintains suggested dose guidelines and protocol dosing requirements for appropriate medications
- Reviews monthly labs to make sure patient lab issues are addressed and that labs are complete and accurate
- Addresses patient complaints and concerns to achieve patient satisfaction
- Performs rounds in the facility to monitor the delivery of patient care
- Conducts multidisciplinary team meetings to complete semi-annual patient care conferences and annual long term program review
- Maintains record of emergency care review and regularly evaluates emergency, CPR, and disaster plans
Personnel Management Responsibilities
- If needed interviews, evaluates and makes recommendation regarding hire for technician and RN positions
- Responsible for the daily supervision and at least annual evaluation of all direct reports as delegated
- Responsible for fair and consistent administration of CDC personnel policies
- Maintains oversight of timekeeping and ACB documentation as delegated by the FM
- In conjunction with FM provides corrective action through negative anecdotal and first step corrective action process
- Works continuously on building teamwork principles in the facility
- Affords assistance with the management of the new staff training on site and assures training documentation completed
- Helps maintain new and current employee personnel and health files per CDC guidelines
- Supports the FM in providing for ongoing education and in servicing as needed
- If needed provides appropriate personnel documentation to payroll and human resources
- Helps obtain appropriate staff credentialing, licensure, and health requirements for CDC files
Safety Responsibilities
- Assists the FM to assure compliance with Hazmat Policy for all employees in their direct report
- Assists the FM in posting and monitoring employee injuries per safety guidelines
- Collaborates with the FM in investigating employee injuries to prevent and correct safety hazards
- Assists the FM in assuring safety equipment and guidelines are adhered to in all operations
- Supports the FM efforts to assure new safety policies and procedures are fully implemented per guidelines
Compliance Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of CDC Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and Compliance plan
- Part of the leadership team that assures employees are consistently informed about policies and compliance issues
- As needed participates in audits to measure compliance
- Supports the FM efforts to develop and implement plans to assure compliance
Education, Experience, Training and Licenses/Registrations
- Needs to function at a basic level in Word/Excel/and Outlook
- RN, BSN and CNN or CDN preferred
- 1 year as a nurse in an outpatient dialysis facility preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to quality care
- ACN experience preferred
- Prior performance management experience is helpful
