Registered Nurse Stroke Specialist

Role Overview

This position involves providing critical care as a Registered Nurse in the Neuro Admin department, primarily responding to stroke emergencies, coordinating diagnostics and treatments, and supporting bedside staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond swiftly to Code Stroke Alerts
• Assess patients
• Expedite diagnostics
• Act as a clinical resource for staff
• Educate patients and families about stroke recovery
• Ensure seamless discharge planning in collaboration with the Stroke Team

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid RN license from the Kansas Board of Nursing
• BLS certification within 1 month
• ACLS within 6 months
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience (preferably Neuro/Stroke or Emergency)
• A passion for staff development and teamwork
