About the Role

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional able to demonstrate proficiency and mastery of core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. This role delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing and promoting evidence based practice standards of quality, safety and service.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing or Bachelors degree in Nursing
• RNs hired prior to specific dates (South: 2/1/2012, Bethesda: 10/1/2017, Boca: 10/1/2023, Fishermen's: 7/1/2018) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role
• RNs hired after these dates with an Associate's degree must complete the BSN degree within 3 years from date of hire
• Must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice
• Minimum experience: Less than 1 year

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• As per department standards, any of the following may be required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
