About the role

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse- DPC RN is a licensed professional responsible for delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner using evidence-based practice standards.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Completion of preceptor class within twelve months of becoming competent by department leadership
• Completion of BSN degree within three years of date of hire for those without a BSN prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s)
• Additional certifications as required by department standard (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, ONS-Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card)
