Registered Nurse - South ED - Part Time - Night Shift (6:30 PM - 3:00 AM)

About the role

The Emergency Department nurse at CoxHealth South provides professional nursing care during the initial phase of acute illness or trauma for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Triage and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs as well as factors influencing patient flow through the emergency care system.
• Work quickly to assess the needs of each patient, prioritize care based on the critical nature, work to stabilize the patient, initiate treatment, discharge the patient after the emergency is over or make arrangements for a longer hospital stay.

Requirements

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Preferred: Previous nursing experience

Qualifications

• Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri
• Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
• Required: Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire and must obtain PALS within one year of hire
• Required: Must obtain ENPC within 12 months of hire
• Required: Must obtain TNCC within 12 months of hire
• Required: Attend Neonatal Resuscitation Course (NRC) within one year of hire, then repeat every two years
