About the role

The Youth Recovery Center (YRC) is a unique, in-hospital residential treatment center that helps adolescents ages 15-18 work through addiction recovery and address mental health needs. We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) with a special interest in the adolescent population to join our Youth Recovery team on a full-time night shift.

Shifts are three 12-hour night shifts per week with rotating weekends.

Pay

$36.76 - $54.06/hour (ADN)
$37.50 - $56.23/hour (BSN)
Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience. Valley View recognizes a 4% pay difference for RN-ADN, RN-BSN, and RN-MSN.

Shift differentials:
$2.25/hour evening shift differential when working a minimum of 4 consecutive hours between 3:00pm-11:30pm.
$4.00/hour night shift differential when working a minimum of 4 consecutive hours between 11:00pm - 7:30am.
$4.25/hour weekend differential when working 5 or more continuous hours between 7pm on Friday and 7am on Monday.

Schedule

  • Full-time, night shift
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Rotating weekends

Responsibilities

  • Assess level of risk and make appropriate clinical judgment for resolution of client emergencies resulting in a safe outcome.
  • Participate in recreation activities with clients.
  • Gain skills in substance abuse, mental health, and adolescent health.

Requirements

  • Current Colorado RN license or ability to obtain one.
  • BSN preferred.
  • 1 year of experience working as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Minimum of 1 year RN work experience, preferably in Acute Care, Psychiatric, or Addiction.
