About the role

The Unit Manager is a Registered Nurse responsible for coordinating clinical care on an assigned unit within a 24-hour operation. The role involves assessing resident needs, implementing care, and working as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the nursing team and provide direction and assignments.
• Offer training to the team and contribute to recognition and evaluations.
• Conduct regular rounds with patients and staff to monitor performance and care.
• Instruct the team regarding the skilled care process and serve as a resource for clinical issues.
• Ensure the completion of required reports such as infection control, pharmacy compliance, and quality management.
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in interactions with guests, their families, and visitors.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan.
• CPR-BLS certification.
• High level of analytical abilities to prepare personalized care plans, implement effective nursing care, and develop solutions to complex problems.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to providing exceptional care.

• Starting wages range from $88,000 to $90,000 per year plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
