About the role
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementing, and evaluation. Directs and coordinates nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by the American Nursing Association and in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Uses knowledge of patient population in the determination of patient care.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with professional disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Apply knowledge of patient population to determine appropriate care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience preferred; proving initiative and sound judgment required for utilizing the entire nursing process.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Carolina.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (ACLS must be obtained within 6 months if not already certified).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills for tasks such as taking patient vitals, administering injections, or conducting physical exams.
- Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed.
- Visual acuity and color perception to accurately read medical charts, documents, and monitors.
- Auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues, as well as perceive important sounds such as alarms or patient instructions.
- Stamina and resilience to handle the physical and emotional demands of providing patient care, including long shifts and potentially stressful situations.
- Mobility to navigate clinical environments, including moving between patient rooms, offices, and other areas of the facility.
- Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Pay
Hourly pay rate at Health-28 pay grade.
Schedule
PRN position with scheduled weekly hours of 8.
