Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) with a focus on infection prevention and control.
Responsibilities
- Oversee prevention, investigation, monitoring, and reporting of infectious diseases within the long-term care setting.
- Conduct surveillance, evaluate infection control programs, and collaborate with leadership to implement policies and procedures.
- Provide education on infection prevention, perform epidemiological investigations, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with the Infection Control Committee to institute control measures, isolation procedures, or studies during infection risks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's Degree in Nursing and valid RN license in California.
- Certificate in Infection Prevention in Long Term Care from recognized organizations like APIC or CDC.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in long-term care.
- Knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, infectious diseases, and aseptic techniques, including standard and transmission-based precautions.
- Current BLS certification.
