About the role

The Nurse Residency Program prepares graduate nurses to refine their clinical skills under supervision, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in training and development activities
  • Manage patient data and maintain thorough documentation
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer treatments and medications as directed
  • Advocate for patients and their families
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Delegate care appropriately to other team members
  • Work closely with licensed RNs to deliver safe, ethical, and effective patient care
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and age-specific clinical understanding
  • Perform clinical assessments

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • No prior nursing experience required; candidates with more than 12 months of experience are ineligible
  • Current RN license or provisional/graduate license with NCLEX scheduled
  • Must hold an active RN license recognized in the state or multistate license
  • Strong adherence to policies on confidentiality, infection control, and safety

Schedule

Work shifts are variable and based in the Emergency Department of a hospital facility.
