About the role

The Nurse Residency Program participant completes coursework, participates in professional development, and achieves clinical competencies under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient data and develops care plans
• Performs treatments and documents care
• Acts as a patient advocate within established standards
• Delegates tasks appropriately
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives
• Responds to clinical situations with guidance

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Current RN license
• No prior experience or less than 12 months’ experience

Skills & Certifications

• Valid RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or in the state of practice

Additional Information

Works under supervision, adheres to policies, and performs duties in a clinical setting, primarily during night shifts in an emergency department environment.
