Registered Nurse (RN) Resident, December 2026, Neuroscience Medical/Surgical

Role Overview

Responsible for completing all required training, participating in professional development, and successfully achieving clinical competencies within a Nurse Residency Program. Works under supervision to refine nursing skills, manage clinical situations, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient data, performs nursing assessments, and identifies patient needs under supervision.
• Develops and revises care plans, involving patients and families, and makes referrals as needed.
• Provides treatments, procedures, and discharge teaching in accordance with standards, demonstrating understanding of age-specific needs.
• Records patient care activities, monitors for issues, and implements nursing measures with supervision.
• Delegates tasks appropriately, participates in quality improvement, maintains safe working conditions, and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Completes all clinical skills under supervision and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred.
• No prior experience required; candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license or provisional license with NCLEX scheduled.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, patient safety, and ethical standards.

Additional Information

Role involves variable shifts and is located in a hospital setting. Position reports to a supervisor but does not have management responsibilities.
