About the Role

Provides clinical leadership and direct patient care in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care and adherence to safety, quality, and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts assessments, develops and updates individualized care plans collaboratively, and sets measurable goals for patient outcomes.
  • Delegates tasks appropriately, monitors care quality, and evaluates interventions for effectiveness.
  • Ensures safety protocols and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Advocates for patients and participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Educates patients and families while respecting cultural and spiritual needs.
  • Acts as a care coordinator and collaborates with healthcare team members.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
  • Current RN license.
  • At least one year of RN experience or equivalent residency/training.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and professional standards.
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.

Additional Details

This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor. May require weekend, holiday, or on-call work. Candidates must maintain licensure and complete mandatory education. The position is based in a Medical/Surgical Nursing department.
