About the role
Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments.
- Develops and updates individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team, setting measurable goals for discharge.
- Delegates tasks, monitors care quality, and maintains patient safety by adhering to safety protocols and organizational policies.
- Performs direct patient care, evaluates treatment effectiveness, and revises plans as needed.
- Educates patients and families, assessing learning needs and ensuring clear communication.
- Maintains professional licensure, documents care accurately, and advocates for patients.
Qualifications
- Requires an Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
- Current RN license and at least one year of nursing experience or equivalent residency/LPN experience.
- Demonstrates proficiency in clinical assessments, care planning, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and professional accountability skills are essential.
Additional information
Non-management role reporting to a supervisor, with variable shifts in an emergency department setting. Must hold a multi-state RN license recognized by NCSBN.
