About the Role
The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team, providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and adhere to evidence-based standards, the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, and the ANA Code of Ethics.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education.
- Coordinate safe, quality care with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring accurate documentation and fostering a respectful environment.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Support professional development by mentoring and maintaining competencies.
- Contribute to protocol development, resource management, and adherence to policies and safety standards.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
- BLS certification.
- Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
