Registered Nurse (RN) PRN Rehabilitation Unit
About the Role
UP Health System - Marquette is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network with facilities coast to coast. As a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) in our 16-bed Rehabilitation Unit, you'll care for patients focused on regaining independence through coordinated therapy and nursing support. While many patients are less acute, the team is skilled in providing acute Med/Surg care when needed. The unit is recognized for its positive, friendly, and supportive atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
- Document care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
- Display initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
- Assess learning needs; provide age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Participate in performance improvement and required education; work other shifts/units as needed and may take on-call assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current Michigan RN license.
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.

Schedule
- 12-hour varied shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
- One weekend per schedule plus two holidays per year.
