Registered Nurse (RN) Post Intensive Care Unit-II (5S) Full Time Day
Located in Belleville, Clara Maass Medical Center is a facility of RWJBarnabas Health and provides a complete continuum of care to residents of northern New Jersey. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. Our facility includes centers for advanced wound care, sleep disorders, bariatrics, orthopedics, cardiac services, cancer care, emergency services, and more. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and newly expanded Emergency Department.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
- Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
- Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
- Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
- Contribute your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care
- Take an active role in a highly collaborative team environment where shared accountability and teamwork directly impact outcomes

Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement in good standing
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required
- Medical/Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience preferred
- Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC preferred
Preferred Certifications
- MEDSURG-BC (Medical-Surgical Nursing Board Certification)
- PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse)
- CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse)
Schedule
- 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (day shift)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Weekday schedule varies depending on department needs
Pay
$47.62 – $63.73 per hour. The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
