Located in Belleville, Clara Maass Medical Center is a facility of RWJBarnabas Health and provides a complete continuum of care to residents of northern New Jersey. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. Our facility includes centers for advanced wound care, sleep disorders, bariatrics, orthopedics, cardiac services, cancer care, emergency services, and more. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state‑of‑the‑art campus expansion featuring a new four‑story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32‑bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and newly expanded Emergency Department. Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care
• Taking an active role in a highly collaborative team environment where shared accountability and teamwork directly impact outcomes
• Pursuing continued professional growth through access to continuing education, clinical ladder opportunities, and organizational resources that support long term career progression

Requirements

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• Medical/Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Preferred certifications: MEDSURG‑BC, PCCN, CMSRN
• Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) such as EPIC

Pay

Pay Range: $47.62 - $63.73 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on factors such as educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Schedule

Work hours: 7a‑7:30p. Position requires every other weekend and holiday; weekday schedule varies based on department needs.
