Registered nurse RN- Physical Medicine Rehab 2N

About the role

You will work in our Inpatient Rehabilitation Program (IRP), a CARF-accredited, stroke-certified rehabilitation unit that functions as a specialized admission service within the hospital. This environment offers registered nurses the opportunity to care for medically complex patients while developing strong rehabilitation-focused nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Care for medically complex patients
• Develop strong rehabilitation-focused nursing skills
• Care for patients recovering from strokes and brain injuries
• Care for patients with other neurological conditions like spinal cord injuries, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis
• Care for patients following kidney and liver transplants, heart transplants, and those receiving oncology, dialysis, or hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) services
• Provide comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
• Coordinate and deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication
• Create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
• A commitment to teamwork, communication, and continual professional growth
