Registered Nurse (RN) Phone Triage

Summary

Lee Physician Group is seeking an experienced RN to join their Phone Triage Team in Fort Myers. This is a full time position. We are seeking an RN with a mixed clinical history within outpatient/primary care, home health, triage and critical care nursing to handle the wide variety of calls to best serve our patients. 3 years of nursing experience is required. Potential to be a hybrid position once clinical competency has been demonstrated. Weekends and Holidays are rotated.

Responsibilities

• Completes a detailed clinical assessment via telephone to identify the urgency and nature of the patients condition and coordinates the appropriate disposition to receive healthcare.
• Utilizes the nursing process and Evidence-Based decision support tools.
• Makes complex decisions based on nursing assessment, effective listening, critical thinking, advanced assessment and communication skills are essential.
• In addition to patient triage, the RN will facilitate other care delivery and self-care advice as the situation warrants.

Requirements

• Educational Requirements: Degree/Diploma Obtained - Program of Study: Required/Preferred - Bachelor's Nursing - Preferred
• Experience Requirements: Minimum Years Required - Area of Experience: Required/Preferred - 3 Years Nursing - Required
• Additional Requirements: 3 years nursing experience in emergency medicine, medical surgical, case management, ICU, urgent care, Outpatient clinics, ambulatory care sites, or physician office experience required. Formal or informal telephone nursing preferred.
