Position Overview

The Same Day Surgery Unit at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of one (1) year of experience. The position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus to the candidate successfully hired.

Overview

The unit sees a variety of patients each day, including General Gynecology, Orthopedics, Total Joints, Urology, and Vascular surgeries. The RN is responsible for performing competent nursing care using the nursing process and adhering to professional standards.

Qualifications

BSN or MSN preferred. Specialized certifications may be required depending on the department, such as ACLS, PALS, ENPC, ONS/ONCC, NRP, and PALS. All Direct Care RNs must have BLS within 90 days of hire.

Skills

Experience in PACU and post-anesthesia care is preferred.
