Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Neurology

Role Overview

The RN Clinical Nurse supports outpatient neurology MRI services, working collaboratively with MRI technologists to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing medical records
• Confirming MRI safety
• Initiating IV access
• Assisting patients and staff
• Managing contrast-related allergic reactions in collaboration with radiologists via virtual coverage
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on evidence-based standards.
• Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual needs and cultural diversity, partnering with patients and families to align care goals.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and promote a respectful, inclusive environment.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Mentor and serve as a preceptor to foster professional development and a healthy work environment.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Support resource management and participate in protocol development to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associates or Bachelor's Nursing degree; licensure as an RN (single or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
• Experience in direct patient care preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in clinical technology.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and work independently within a team.
