About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse plays a vital role within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices and critical thinking to ensure individualized care that respects cultural diversity.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication methods, such as bedside reports and education, placing the patient's goals at the center of care.
- Coordinate and document care, promote teamwork, and participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance to enhance safety and quality outcomes.
- Complete competency assessments, mandatory education, and mentor less experienced staff as part of professional development.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice, adhere to organizational policies, and support protocols to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Basic Life Support certification
- At least two years of direct patient care experience
