Avera Pierre Clinic – primarily days with possible weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Position Highlights
- Serve as primary nurse for APP on Dr. Strasburg's team
- Rotate with the rest of the nursing staff to cover acute care on weekends
- Schedule: 8:00 am–5:00 pm Monday–Thursday, 8:00 am–12:00 pm Friday (Friday afternoons off)
- 72 hours per 2 weeks
- Sign-on and relocation bonuses:
- RN: up to $10,000–$15,000 sign-on bonus and $2,500 relocation bonus
- LPN: up to $7,500–$10,000 sign-on bonus and $1,500 relocation bonus
- MA: up to $7,500 sign-on bonus and $1,500 relocation bonus
About the Role
Provides professional nursing care under the direction of the provider as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on compassionate, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Performs general nursing care to patients
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
- Coordinates patient care activities for the clinic
- Prepares equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing
- Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider
- Oversees appointment scheduling, ensuring timely flow and priority for emergency situations
- Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination
- Screens patients for health history and vitals, documenting information in patient charts
- Instructs patients in sample and test collection
- Responds to patient phone calls in a timely manner with physician input
- Educates patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and wellness
- Suggests solutions to patient care crises and complaints
- Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and ensures cleanliness
- Prepares lists of medical supplies needed
- Ensures proper labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol
- Performs quality control and maintains records on all lab testing
Requirements
- Ability to work the specified hours (8:00 am–5:00 pm M-Th, 8:00 am–12:00 pm F, with possible weekends/evenings/holidays)
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active license in the state of practice (upon hire)

Pay
$20.00 - $41.25 per hour, dependent upon experience.
