Position Highlights

  • Variated Shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-7:30pm/7:00pm-7:30am, with every other wknd/hol; 48hrs/2wks
  • This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $18,000

What You Will Do

  • Provides resident care
  • Reviews physician prescriptions
  • Communicates the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health care team
  • Coincides with other healthcare providers
  • Provides physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends
  • Confers with physicians

Develops Nursing Care Plans

  • Obtains medical histories
  • Examines residents
  • Documents residents physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors
  • Confers with family and friends
  • Develops a nursing diagnosis
  • Establishes nursing care objectives
  • Defines nursing interventions, schedules, and timetables

Teaches Healthcare Requirements

  • Establishs resident care goals
  • Instructs resident, family, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills
  • Answers questions
  • Provides information and resources

Evaluates Resident's Care

  • Adheres to therapeutic standards
  • Mesures health outcomes against resident care standards
  • Reviews resident's records
  • Note changing conditions and needs
  • Re-evaluates care objectives
  • Modifies nursing care plan

Maintains Safe, Secure, And Healthy Resident Care Environment

  • Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols
  • Adheres to medication administration and storage procedures
  • Adheres to controlled substance regulations
  • Adheres to organization standards and policies
  • Adheres to legal regulations
  • Alerts others regarding potential concerns

Coordinates Admissions, Discharges and Transfers

  • Directs, plans and coordinates workflow of nursing assistants and other nursing personal
  • Maintains competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership

Essential Qualifications

  • The individual must be able to work the hours specified
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds

Required Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing
  • An active license in the state of practice
  • Upon Hire

Preferred Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

  • 1-3 years Experience working in a clinical or long term care environment
