The Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room position at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, involves maintaining the proficiency of surgeons' needs, techniques, and requirements in the scrub or circulating role. Responsibilities
- Adheres to strict Universal Precautions and Blood-borne Pathogens protocols.
- Supports anesthesia, maintains patent patient airways, including adult and pediatric patients.
- Assesses the learning needs of patients/significant others, and has knowledge of normal growth and development stages.
- Cares for specimens and cultures as directed by set policies.
- Administers drugs and responds to drug-related complications in a timely and safe manner.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Active PA State Nursing License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- One (1) year of clinical experience required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Three (3) years of clinical experience preferred.
