About the role
The Pre-Op/Post Op Registered Nurse will provide exemplary patient care alongside physicians in treating various eye conditions and performing surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding patient care on a daily basis
- Work with anesthesia providers on sedation and monitor patients
- Prepare patients for surgery and manage recovery and discharge procedures
- Exercise good clinical judgement during pre-op/post op care
- Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced PACU and OR
- Exhibit sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current California RN license
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center preferred
- Knowledge of surgical nursing practices and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- Proficient in computer systems and software relevant to healthcare
