Registered Nurse (RN) OB PRN - Temporary Need

About the role

This is a temporary, PRN (as needed) position with a 90-day need, requiring varied 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM).

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
• One to two years minimum OB experience required.
• NRP, AWHONN, EFM, STABLE, and PEOP certifications (within 6 months of hire).
• Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.
