About the role
The Nursing Supervisor provides clinical and administrative support to the nursing staff in the absence of the Nurse Manager and Nursing Leadership. Demonstrates a commitment to evidence-based practice and performs in accordance with the philosophy, established policies, procedures, and standards of the Nursing division and the Hospital. Coordinates, directs, and serves as the resource to nursing staff to ensure delivery of quality patient care in accordance with accepted standards. Acts as a clinical resource with strong organizational and communication skills in coordination and facilitation of patient flow. Coordinates the allocation of nursing staff resources. Interprets and clarifies hospital policies for the nursing staff and other personnel. Assists in the orientation and ongoing development of nursing staff, providing input to Nurse Managers. Supports and facilitates staff nurse attendance and participation at hospital meetings. This position requires sound decision-making in critical situations.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Three years of recent nursing experience
- Minimum BSN or in process
- Current acute care and leadership skills
- Current Massachusetts RN licensure
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
